Kikyo is (was?) the Miko charged with protecting and purifying the Shikon No Tama (Jewel of Souls) that everybody in Inuyasha is chasing. She's one of the most melancholy characters in anime. At first I didn't like her very much, but I have come to appreciate the sadness of her story, and respect her trueness to herself.
In any case she's a pivotal character in Inuyasha, so I was very happy to get this cel at Anime Expo 2002. It really captures her personality: if ever there was a character defined by "still waters run deep" it is Kikyo.
